  • A10364 (Lavine)/S5486 (Comrie) - Requires certain disclosures by automobile insurers relating to the use of telematics systems in determining insurance rates and/or discounts. NYIA opposes.
    • The bill was already introduced in the Senate but now has an Assembly companion.
  • A10524 (Lunsford) - Precludes factors from being used to influence the rate-setting process and establishes a website for policyholders to view and submit feedback regarding proposed rate increases. NYIA opposes. 
  • A10528 (Anderson)/S51 (Comrie) - Allows commuter vans, pre-arranged for-hire vehicles, or accessible vehicles to form risk retention groups. NYIA opposes. 
    • The bill was already introduced and passed in the Senate but now has a new Assembly sponsor and bill number.
  • A10616 (Dinowitz)/S1655 (Bailey) - Requires all motor vehicle insurers to file annual detailed financial and claim data statements with the superintendent of financial services. NYIA opposes. 
    • The bill was already introduced in the Senate but now has an Assembly companion.
  • S9393 (Jackson) - Requires insurance carriers to provide access to underwriting models or granular claim data to the department of financial services. NYIA opposes.
  • A10176 (Weprin)/S9368 (Bailey) - Enacts the "New York property rehabilitation protection act." NYIA supports as a priority initiative. 
    • The bill was already introduced in the Assembly but now has a Senate companion.
  • A10529 (Torres) - Requires property/casualty insurance companies to submit information on multifamily housing premiums and claims paid to the department of financial services. NYIA opposes. 
    • The bill is similar to the language advanced in Executive Budget proposal Part GG (page 159) of TED.
